Ok, so maybe not STAT, but soon. I recently dropped my hours at a hospital to casual (about one weekend a month) to do this new, full-time job. I've been there 6 days and realize it's not the right fit for me, plus I have to drive 120 miles a day to get there and not get paid too well. I took the new job because there was supposedly a lot of opportunity (per the owner). Well, things are now not the way they seemed with the opportunities so I don't even want to try - to drive all that way doesn't seem worth it! Now I regret giving up my part-time hours at the hospital and am looking for something else! But in the meantime, I'm going to try this whole SAHM thing! I have a degree in exercise science and business admin - so i've done pretty much everything from front desk/receptionist to physical therapy aide/exercise specialist/physiologist...but I only want to work in the extreme western metro (waconia/hutch/howard lake. Let me know if you hear of anything! Thanks Ladies!

Wow, me either but I applaud you for knowing right away that this wasn't the ideal fit for you.

Have you thought about a home based, direct sales business? I have two that I LOVE. PartyLite for the last three years and Jamberry Nails for the past six weeks. This is the link that talks about PartyLite: partylite.biz/sites/TwinCities/our-opportunityAnd this is the link for Jamberry: twincities.jamberrynails.net/home/join.aspxBetween the two though, Jamberry is WAY easier to sell because it's only been around for a year and all you have to do is wear the nail shields. You will be amazed at how many "I LOVE YOUR NAILS!" compliments you get Let me know if you'd like any more information. Always happy to help

Oh - Afterthought! If you do decide to do a direct sales business I would recommend doing one with a CONSUMABLE product so you're not trying to contantly find new customers.

Thanks for the tips! During the stressful week last week I got a call from my manager at the hospital saying they needed help because someone had to go on medical leave. So I'm now doing more hours at the hospital and then staying home with my daughter on my off days. So we're going to work it out so we won't need daycare. I'm back to square one, but it feels ok. I get paid a lot more being casual with no benefits and can stay home with her, so I make the same amount of money. I just need a psychic or a divine intervention to tell me what I'm supposed to do with my career! I don't want to feel "stuck." Today I have to tell my other job that it just wasn't working for me and my family. How did you find your "passion?" I thought I found it, but after 7 years it has diminished.

So I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately. Last week I was reading an article in a local paper about a woman who does professional organizing for homes and businesses and it totally clicked with me! So now I've been researching how to become a professional organizer! I feel it would be very rewarding and I would be doing something that I love! The only hard part is I would probably be owning my own business, so it sounds like a lot of work is in store, but I'm excited to keep looking into this!
