I've been going back and forth a lot lately on whether I want to invest in a good ergo baby carrier or spend 300 dollars on a chicco double stroller. We already have the chicco carseat and single stroller so that is def. the brand we'd go with.
Those who have double strollers, are they a pain to travel around with.. heavy.. large...? But they must be convenient....
Those who use a sling or carrier... have you wanted that double stroller eventually?
My thought to my husband recently was that maybe we get the ERGO and if it isn't working for me after a few months then we'd go ahead and get the stroller...
ehhh.

I used my Moby and my single stroller. Although I loved LOOKING at double strollers, I never regretted NOT having one. I never actually needed one and I never even found one that I TRULY wanted (though there are some neat seeming ones out there now.) I bring all three of my girls with me practically everywhere and DD1 has always prefered to walk and when DD2 wanted to ride I was able to wear DD3. I used Cissy's "spare" double stroller one year on the Kickin It For Nik Epilepsy Walk (it was around 100 degrees and crazy humid that night so there was no way I wanted to wear DD3 at that point) and it made me really glad that I never bothered to buy one of my own.

We have a double side by side jogger and I think it's a big pain in the butt to take shopping so it got used only a couple times while shopping. After that DD2 was carried around in the Moby and DD1 rode the single stroller. Once DD2 was too big for the moby we switched her to the stroller and DD1 either walked or we rented a stroller. Now that they are almost 5 and 3....they switch on and off in the stroller. The double was nice for going on walks though. But I honestly think we could of dealt without it.

As a mom of twins, my opinion is NOT valid. I loved my side-by-side double. DS was 3 when the twins were born. When they were small, one was carried, one in the stroller and there was room for DS if he got tired. We did lots of kid switching. It was perfect for us. We had a McLaren. Maybe the trick is having a GOOD one?

I only have one kid, but I can say that we love our ergo!! And I bought it second hand, they're so sturdy that I wasn't worried. It's good for just about anywhere, even around the house. And it's easy to use. Even if you got the double stroller, I would still recommend the ergo.

If I'm going to have to take her out of her carseat anyhow I'd probably just put her in a carrier.... the thing about a double stroller is that I can just snap the carseat into the stroller...
was thinking though... by the time shes 9 months and able to probably be in the wagon with preston it'll be spring going on summer anyhow... and we'd end up using that more than the stroller...

I had 2 double strollers, sold 1 to my bro last spring. I highly recommend the sit and stand version. With the age gap between my DDs it was perfect. The older one was able to get out and see things but still give their little legs a rest. It wasn't too bulky or hard to lug around for me. I have a wagon too but it was harder to bring it out and about. Good for cruising the neighborhood though.
