My DD is turning 2 at the end of December and I have no ideas of what to do for a birthday theme!! We did a Winter ONEderland theme last year and I loved it! It fit with the season and was very budget friendly. But this year I've got nothing! I'd like to stay away from cartoon characters and such since she really doesn't watch much TV and will probably ask for those themes in the coming years. So I'd love to hear any of your ideas!

I was looking in a magazine and they had some cute 2/3 yr old themes... rainbow party, snowflake party, upside down party, nursery rhyme party and going along with that I think... a book party. The snowflake one would be easy to decorate for... and the nursery rhyme one would be so cute!

Great ideas! Candyland would be so much fun! But I love the nursery rhyme too since she's really into that right now.

SarahIsis, I did a book themed party last year and it was a lot of fun. I specifically did Little Golden Book theme, I made decorations out of old books that I picked up at garage sales and then I gave new books to all the kids that came.
This year for Kendra's 2nd Birthday we will be doing a Sesame Street Theme, but I thought about a rainbow theme, very hungry caterpillar or a woodland creature theme.

I like the Candyland idea. My friend did a theme last year for her DD who has an end of Dec. birthday as well. She did a New Year Welcome to 2 theme. It was Black/Pink/Silver. She had sparklers in the cake etc. This year she is doing a hot cocoa/cookies theme. She hasn't released to many details but sounds like it will be fun.

Thanks Sara! I'm enjoying all these ideas knowing that in the next year or two DD is going to be very vocal about what she will want!
