OK Ladies, I need to pick your brains. This weekend a bunch of families are getting together for a picnic and I'm brainstorming food to bring that kids will like, is healthy, and is kind of "fun" for adults as well.
My ideas so far include:
pin wheel appetizer small sandwich platter (pb&j, egg salad, maybe something "fancy" in smaller little cut-up quarter-sandwich open-face slices) pasta salad
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I do pb&j cut in quarters. Kids love them. Adults think they are fun too.

you could do a mac and cheese bar too...make plain mac and cheese and have little bowls of different toppings you can add on your own, like bacon crumbles, peas, ham chunks, bread crumbs....

Fruit kabobs; bananas sliced down the middle, filled with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows and grilled until melted; use a small cookie cutter to cut cucumbers into flower shapes; cut out watermelon and cantaloupe into flowers and cut the middles out and replace them with the other fruit middle, put onto sticks and have fruit pops.
