Hey mamas! Just wanted to see if anyone else out there is a tattoo freak like me. And also if they'd like to share theirs I love my ink, and my needles. lol I just recently got a piece added to and kind of re-done. Here are all of mine and what they're for: 1st one is a heart on my foot that is an african symbol that means to learn from your past to build for your future. 2nd one is DDs footprints on my leg. kind of a crappy pic but you get the idea. 3rd one I got was a cross on my back for my dad. I hated the flowers for the longest time, but you'll see below, it got fixed 4th and 5th ones I got are my "Hakuna Matata"...it means no worries 6th and my most recent, which i don't have the greatest photo of yet because it is litterally still healing, is elephants, surrounding my cross. the cross was also touched up, added to, as well as the flowers. LOOOOVE this now. Hated the cross by itself before, but LOOOOVE it now!!! The first three were done by Adam Chido at the Ink Tailor The other two were done by the lovely Reime Jahr at Evolution Tattoos in Bloomington. DEFINITELY recommend going there!

I only have two tattoos and they don't really mean anything to me. I got them when I was 18 "because I could".
First - 2 small stars and a large star on my hip
Second - Large flower with a vine around the lower part of my back (yes, tramp stamp!)
I don't really regret them, but I don't love them. I want to get another one for Aiden but I haven't decided what I want or where I want it yet.

Yeah. My rule for tattoos, ALWAYS...is think about it for a year. If in one year you don't have the exact thing and place you want it, don't get it. Wait another year. If by the end of that year you're settled and dead set on it, then get it. A tattoo is a MAJOR thing. I've put a lot of thought and work into my pieces, as well as the artists who did them, so I could make sure that in 5-10-15 years i wasn't like, meh, i could go either way on it.
I definitely did not regret my cross, but i HATED the way it was done the first time. So happy I went and got it fixed. I'm in LOVE with it now!

I have one so far - a blue seahorse on my left ankle. It doesn't have any special meaning but I liked it then (at 19yrs) and I still like it now. I want to get one to honor my kids and that is my reward for dropping some weight and toning up my love handles (thanks DD!). I am a huge fan of tattoos and love to see pix.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE tattoos! I have 2...a lily on the front of my right ankle, I got that a week before my wedding and I have a palm tree on the side of my ankle that I got as a spur the moment type of thing when I was 18...I still love it! I want more....one representing the girls middle names are lily and rose so something with that I want it on my wrist but I don't have a design in mind...I also thought about it wrapping around my wrist...or I may settle on the middle of the back of my neck! Decisions!!

I also have a tramp stamp but don't have any pics. I plan to get one behind my ear to represent DS. Not sure what yet tho... I'm going to a Henna party and plan to have one put behind my ear to see if I love the spot. And to play around with ideas!

I have a butterfly tramp stamp. The only I don't like about it is that, even though I figured out what I wanted and where I wanted it when I was 12 I didn't get it done until I was 20 and by then both the butterfly and the placement were trendy. I hate that people think I did it to follow the trend- I DIDN'T!

I used to work with a gal whose husband is planning to donate his skin to a museum in China (Japan?) in order to preserve and display all of his tats.
