If you have a kiddo who needs pills for whatever how do you get them to take it without too much of a fuss?
Ds had to take prednisone tonight for his asthma and I mushed up the pill and put in some pudding. He through a big stink. The stuff is bitter tasting according to the dr.
TIA

We always get the liquid stuff for them. I always ask if there is a liquid form as I don't want to start training them on how to take pills yet.
Ds's asthma medicine is usually in an inhaler form.

DS1 just swallows them. We have never had an issue with him.

My DS1 just swallows them with a gulp of water. Maybe asking the doctor for liquid instead, like Cake said, would make it easier for him.

Never been an issue, just give them the pill with a glass of water and they take it. I agree with what everyone else said, see if it is available in liquid form or chewable form.

My DD1 will not take liquid meds, only pills. I usually give it to her with milk in the morning, she used to need a straw, but she have outgrown that.

I have used yogurt also-- but now DD can take (and prefers) to swallow pills-- she is 11. DS is 3 so he gets liquid or vitamins are gummies

I sadly have a hard time with pills. I find eating them with applesauce is easier. If there's a liquid...even if its yucky I go for that instead. And always make sure you can crush the pills some of them you can't crush because it might not end up working.

He is doing so much better w/ the pills now. He is taking them w/ pudding or go gurt. I am one who can't swallow pills. But that is a whole other story.

He is done w/ that med. for now. We are getting our carpets cleaned for the first time in 25+ years of this house being around so we are hoping it will help ds's allergies.
