Anyone know where my MIL can go to learn how to rosemale or get patterns on how to do it? They bought DD a rocking horse and DH wants her to rosemale it if she can learn.

If anyone is wondering what the heck Rosemaling is: This site shows some pretty samples of the different patterns! But they are Norweigian!
My folks had a chest painted special for Dan's and My wedding gift! I've never liked that burnt orange color, so Mom broke down and told me what she and Dad were giving us. So I got to pick out the patterns, the colors, everything! It's one of very few material things that are deeply important to me! When the girls come home with the camera, I'll take a pic and show you, Lynsee.

Thanks, Sus! My MIL is wanting to learn this and do it for each grandchild on a rocking horse. I don't think it would be too easy to learn, but she has the time!

We had an elderly woman in the church where I grew up who was amazing at rosemaling. She has unfortunately passed on but my parents have beautiful gifts that she gave them over the years. that would be a really personal touch if your MIL could rosemale on a rocking horse for her grandkids.
