Yes, another pregnancy post. My apologies.... (I thank you for taking the time to read this, and offer advice or support!!)
So I'm about 6 weeks along. I dont know if I had these same symptoms with DD, and it's been so long that I cant remember. Or maybe because it's #2 and I can't SLEEP whenever I want, because I do have another Child. But this baby is KICKING my butt!!
I am EXHAUSTED. I have energy to do NOTHING. I do the bare minimum required to make my house run.
I'm nauseas! (I was with DD but took the b6 unisom combo to get rid of morning sickness. It worked like a charm, and isn't work so far!)
Judge me if you'd like, but I'm NOT the first Mom or last Mom to say this...
I can't stop smoking! (with dd is made me sick, and I know all the benefits of quitting!) I have cut back A LOT. Literally from a pack in 24 hours to about 4 cigarettes every 24 hours!
Lastly, my back hurts.......
Thanks for reading, listening to me complain!!

Hey Quirky, hang in there! And good job cutting back on the smoking, you can DO IT!!! Of course you should quit completely as you know, but way to go so far. YOU CAN DO IT!!! I remember with DD2 it was like, I got the + sign on the pregnancy test and immediately was nauseous and stayed sick until like month six. It STUNK. So take care of yourself, that's fine if you're doing the bare minimum because obviously your body is worn out and tired. You've got to listen to what your body is telling you! And ... you know that you have plenty of moms on here who can relate and sympathize and be supportive.

I have always said to myself "If we ever have #2, how will I have the energy to be pregnant and take care of another child". I was so exhausted when pregnant w/ DS that I would basically work and sleep. I think that is totally normal.
Don't beat yourself up over the smoking thing. Good job for cutting back so much and maybe try to cut out another 1-2/week and work to get off completely. Hang in there and keep trying.
Do what you need to do to keep things running smoothly and don't worry about the rest, take care of you and the baby.

I can offer a suggestion for the nausea... ask your doc bout zofran (ondansetron) ... should help immediately. Quitting smoking will probably help the overall nausea too!
Hope things get better!!!

Zofran was wonderful when I was pregnant with DD1...I was given because I couldnt keep anything even water down! With DD2 those preggo pops and ice pops helped me for the most part.
