So it's looking like DS1 is going to be diagnosed with Asperger's. So far we are doing family therapy and will be starting play therapy with him soon.
Anyone else out there with an Aspie kid or does anyone have any advice?
I'm not sure what else we should be doing for him.

There are some behavior therapies that have good success rates-- see if you can find some--I know there are some in the Cities.I just can't remember the name of the one place right now.

I think it is so individual to each kid. I have several friends with kids with AS. They are all different and have required different kinds and amounts of special help. The biggest thing is to have good professional support you trust. Than trust your gut. You will know when things are not quite right or a change is needed.

My friends have had services through Alexander Center in eden prairie and Fraser. Good luck on your journey. Remember all kids have quirks--you can just name them with your son.

I have a 9 year old and I would recommend Alexander Center and your school district should be able to give you some help too. Good luck it is one interesting ride. LOL

Not aspergers but my ds1 is on the spectrum as well. He isn't officially diagnosed so we don't know exactly what he has but he is def on the spectrum. He goes to therapy and special needs preschool. Once he is assessed he will start lots more home therapy.
