Does anyone know where you can get a family to adopt a family for Christmas? We don't go to a church and I haven't seen them anywhere else. Where I grew up they used to have trees with families to adopt in many different stores and businesses, but don't know where to look here.

I noticed that you live in Shakopee, so googled Shakopee MN and adopt a family and found the info below. Looks like a great program! And may I say -- how awesome that you're choosing to give to the community in this way. Yay! shakopeeresidentsguide.com/cap-agency-shakopee-mn/Hope for the Holidays 952-496-2125 “Adopt-a-family” holiday gift sponsorship program that provides families with gifts for the December holidays. Sponsors often include businesses, civic groups, faith communities, schools and individuals. Scott-Carver-Dakota CAP Agency, Inc. 712 Canterbury Rd. Check with social service agencies or food selves to see if they know of anyone that could benefit from it-- or call to some churches-- even if you don't belong to them-- they would probably be more than happy to have someone sponser a family I know my daughter's school collected stuff for Thanksgiving meals for needy families-- the schools may have something similar for Christmas?

Thanks Renee. Somehow I end up having the most unproductive Google searches (which is why I checked on here). I will check with them!
