With Ella my water didn't break... and when the doc did break it, there was so little fluid that they said I may not have even known... so I can see where they wanted to check! My guess is that you're in early stages of labor!! I hope everything goes well for you today!!! keep us posted!

With DS2 I just had a ton of pressure, I wasn't feeling any contractions. I went in and was contracting every 2 minutes. I had a cerclage placed since I dilated to 2 at 21 weeks. They removed the cerclage and the contractions kept coming. They did a c-section at 35weeks to reduce stress on baby and brought him off to NICU right away. Good Luck. I hope everything goes well and it's a false alarm and baby gets to cook for another couple of weeks.

UPDATE: Just got home. Got to the dr, they did a cervical check and im still dilated to 1cm. By cervix is very hard to find a.d the Dr said that she couldnt feel his head so she wanted to do an ultrasound to check his position and the fluid levels. The ultrasound showed that I had plenty of fluid, 19, but baby is in the Transverse position. His butt is in my pelvis. She said that is a very dangerous position for him to be in if I go into labor on my own. they then put me on the heart monitor and he was anywhere from 119 - 163. He started moving and they said he was looking fine. They said I have to go in on Friday again and check his position again. I have to lay down as much as possible these next couple days to allow him to try to move and be in the head down position. If he isnt head down on Friday, I have to make an appt to come in so they can manually try to flip him. Ouch!! So im home laying and stretching in the recliner. Hoping he will turn on his own else they said they will have to do a csection. So, hes healthy and doing ok, just in the wrong position. They said the cramping and pressure are normal and I just have to deal woth it for now. Thanks everyone for the well wishes!! They sure came in handy!

I had to end up having c-sections for both DD and DS-- both had cords around their necks-- Dh was delivered with the cord around his neck and breech also--of course that was in Alexandria over 40 years ago too. Things will work out how they are supposed to work out--- eventually. Good luck to you and your little one-- may he be active and turn around

Well, you can always have DH hold your feet and try doing modified handstands to try and get baby to flip! =D LOL! I read that in a few midwife books... Anyway, I'm glad that things are ok. My girls were all breech up until close to the end, so there is still time for baby to flip!
