Ok, so I've been having cramping and pretty bad contractions for almost a week now. They get pretty bad sometimes and I literally cry through them. This morning I woke up and when I stood up I literally felt like he was just gonna drop out. The pressure is almost unbearable and goes all the way into my back. I don't remember being in this much pain with the other two. Do I call my Dr or just tough them out? Last week I was dilated to 1cm and im thinking the incredible sharp pain is my cervix dilating and im not suppose to see my Dr till Friday, but that just seems soooo far away! What should I do?

Call your doc. Baby is still a premie until you hit 37 weeks. DS2 was born at 35w3d and ended up in the NICU for 13 days. Go in NOW!!

My Dr is an hr away and I just want to make sure that its worth the drive. Cuz last week when the cramping started I went in because they told me I could be in labor. They checked to see if my water broke, which I knew it hadnt, and when the test came back neg, they sent me home. I could have saved myself the gas by just telling them my water hadnt broken. Lol so I dont want to make a trip up there for nothing.

That makes sense! That's hard when your dr is so far away!!! Is the pressure getting any better?

I would call -- you don't want to deliver at home! (Unless of course that was your birthing plan.)

In the meantime, are you doing anything to soothe the pain? I would sit in a warm bath (as long as your water hasn't broken you're fine) or at the very least use a heating pad on your back. Do you have an exercise ball that you can sit on? Does the pain ease when you lay down? Is there a time schedule to the pain? My neighbor's sister went through what you are describing and she was put on bed rest and ended up going OVER due! The drs just told her that she was having some major "false labor." Ugh, I can't imagine!
