I'd really like to make an effort to replace some of the red meat in this house. A few of my recipes are pretty good with chicken replacing hamburger, but I'd like to try turkey recipes as well. If you have any good ones you'd like to share, I'd sure like to hear them! Thanks!

I would also like to know. I gave up COW 4 weeks ago and never felt better. But struggling with ideas for replacements.

I enjoy some of the boca versions of food and chicken replaces beef in mexican meals real well. Morning Star brand had excellent black bean burgers! LOVE them! I also like their corn dogs better than any others and they are much healthier!

I have used ground turkey in alot of my recipes that use hamburger. I am fussy though I will only use the turkey store ground turkey. It doesn't always taste as good but it is edible and once you get used to it you wouldn't necessarly know the difference.

Oh yeah, I found it cheaper to buy the Turkey at Sams club. It's around $12 for 5 pounds and that is the lean 93/7 so it is actually cheaper than burger too!

We replace hamburger with turkey on almost anything that usuaally calls for hamburger...tacos, turkey burgers (so yummy sandwiched in between 2 big lettuce leaves), meat balls, sloppy joes, chili, etc. Except for the occasional cheeseburger, hamburger in anything else just doesnt taste right to us anymore!

You can replace it for pretty much anything that calls for ground beef, but turkey is dryer so you might need to add more liquid or something else to make it stay moist!

We love ground turkey! We don't eat much beef here anymore.
You can replace it for anything....taco meat, in your spaghetti sauce etc. I love the Jennie O website as well!

Here's my favorite recipe that uses ground turkey:
PF Changs Lettuce Wraps
16 lettuce leaves (I like Romaine) 1 pound ground chicken breast (I usually use turkey) 1 large onion, chopped 1/2 cup pine nuts, chopped (optional) 2 Tablespoons minced garlic 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup hoisin sauce 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger 1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar or red wine vinegar 2 teaspoons Asian chili pepper sauce (I use a sweet chili sauce) 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained, chopped 1 bunch of green onions, thinly sliced 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
Rince the lettuce leaves, set aside to drain. Cook chicken or turkey in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring to crumble. Add onion, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar, and chili sauce. Cook until the meat is crumbled and brown. Add water chestnuts, pine nuts, and onions. Cook until onions wilt, about 2 minutes. Stir in the sesame oil. Diners spoon the meat mixture onto lettuce leaves and eat like a taco.
