Go to you county libraries website and it will give you instructions on how to download books from the library to your device. I know Ramsey County has instructions for Kindle Fire, not sure what county you live. You do need a library card so if you don't have that you might need to go to the library to get one first.

Many of the couponing FB sites I follow have posts about free downloads. Here is one of them: www.freesamplemomma.com/free-kindle-ebooks-roundup/Sometimes you can look in there archives for more freebies too. If you put in Kindle Books in the search on FB a bunch of Free Kindle Book pages come up. I need to figure out if I can get my kindle app to sync with the Kindle Fire we got for DD1 for Christmas. My app has all kids books on it!

Yeah Lil you should be able too, when you put your kindle info in email and password it should load everything once it is synced. I have the same books on my Kindle Fire, Ipod, and phone app.

if you don't mine paying a little, theres always kindle prime... where you can "rent" books and stuff. I think you pay per year? Am I right Cissy? I remember having it for a trial when I first got mine, but let it expire.

Yup you can pay a yearly fee for Amazon Prime and you can get free shipping on things and borrow books and get some free videos to watch. When you activate a Kindle Fire you get 1 trial month of Amazon Prime for free.

I did do the over drive thing, and was also introduced to "pixels of ink" on fb. It's a page that posts a free download everyday...thanks for the tips!
