What are your New Year's Eve plans? Family fun? Couple time? Sleeping if possible?

I have to work that day. But when I get off, I'm meeting my family at my BFF's house for ice skating and some outdoor fun, lots of food, family games, etc. So it will be fun! I don't know how late we'll stay or if we'll make it to midnight, but at least we'll have some good family fun time.

Just a regular day. I'll probably stay up late--11 pm--to watch the ball drop in NY. We just aren't big celebrators.

St Louis Park used to have a family NYE event at the biggest park. There was ice skating, sledding, bon fire, sleigh rides, hot cocoa.
They have moved it now to later in the month. It is a fun event though my kids are too old.

Our friends are hosting a family NYE party this year!!! Normally we just hang out at home and head to bed at the normal time. I do make some snacks just for fun.

This year we are spending it with my inlaws. We are going to celebrate Christmas with them on Monday and stay overnight. So after DS goes to bed it will involve card games and some adult beverages.

We have a few friends over every year. Lots of food and very little alcohol. We usually do an early countdown for those with kids and often it's just the 3 of us by midnight. Or if people are still there they clear out as soon as we great 2013. It's lame, but it relaxed and fun.

Once the kids are in bed, it's a bottle of wine, talking and then hopefully making it to the ball drop. ha ha We are low key homebodies, don't make a big deal of New Years. Maybe someday we will but, now, we enjoy this.

We are going to my parent's house for a little family get together. It will be a nice change not to go out and they even invited some of DH's family. Everyone is bringing an appetizer to share and we'll have trivia and games to play. I'm actually really excited for it!

So we canceled with our friends. Of course this happened AFTER we had shopped for the party. So we are freezing what we can, eating some of it, and hoping to have a post-new year party once they are better. Hopefully they will feel well enough to have a fun but quiet evening just the 3 of us. And hopefully I don't start 2013 by catching what they have
