My son had baby teeth that fell out. Fine. Nothing unusual. He wants to keep his teeth. Dd had a tooth fall out the other day on NYE while we were playing Monopoly.
Is it normal for a kid to want to keep his teeth that fell out?
Did your child want to keep their teeth? Did you keep them? We are keeping our kids' in really itty bitty bags for the teeth for each individual kid.
Thanks.

DS1 wanted to keep all his teeth. We made him write a letter to the tooth fairy asking to please leave the tooth for him. So we know have 5 teeth in ziplock baggies with notes in them.

We had the Tooth Fairy that would come for the tooth. The only way they got their prize was to trade the tooth for it. So DS1 was ok with it. However, he did have a mold done for his teeth when he was younger and wanted to keep that. I think it's normal to have that fascination.

I think my son thinks it is cool to keep his teeth b/c he wants to be a palientologist when he grows up. I think that is the same thing w/ dd. B/c don't palientologists look at teeth.

The tooth fairy takes them but we have them stashed away for when they're older. I like the idea of leaving a note for the tooth fairy about keeping them so your kiddo doesn't feel like he's losing them entirely.

My mom kept our baby teeth in a little box, but when we were younger the tooth fairy took them.
