My parents bought us snowshoes for Christmas and they arrived in the mail this morning. We are so excited to begin using them!
Anyone know of any good family snowshoe trails? DS is 4 so can't be intense.
TIA!

That sounds fun, Angel! Thanks for posting. My mom loves to snowshoe. May have to see if she wants to go to this event.
What a great gift, Dara. Sounds like something you and the family could have a lot of fun with!

The MN Landscape Arboretum would be fun, it's such a beautiful place. www.arboretum.umn.edu/skiandsnowshoetrails.aspxTrail Update (as of Jan. 2, 2013): The snowshoe/hiking trail is open and in fair condition. Enjoy 11 miles of cross-country ski and snowshow trails that meander along 1,000-plus acres of woodland, prairie, wetland, and open fields. Snowshoes are available to rent at the Information Desk in the Visitor Center for $6 per hour and $4 for each additional hour. Sorry, we do not rent cross-country ski equipment.

Check with Hennipen Parks district, too. I think it might be Three Rivers Park district now.
