We are thinking of going to Wis. Dells this year. Sounds fun. I have never been there neither has dh. Have you been there? If you've been there can you tell me a little about what you know about it. Thanks much.
Do let you use lifejackets? Is all the water deep? Me & dd don't swim that well. I swim yes not often. Is there anywhere where you won't spend an arm & a leg to stay at it?
Any info. you've got about wis. dells would be helpful. Thanks.

Ive never been there either but this is what ive heard ... if you enjoy camping... that's probably the cheapest way to stay there. Yes to life jackets... like most water parks I'm sure that there a lot of areas that are just knee deep... and pool areas that have both deep and shallow water. Bring your own life jacket though if you have them...

I have only been in the summer and love Noah's Ark. I have heard good things about the indoor waterparks for winter visits too.

Have been to Wilderness twice at the end of summer (right before Labor Day), WE were able to get queen suite for cheap ($100/day or so) and had two queen beds and full sixe pull out couch, 2 tvs, microwave and fridge. Got food at Walmart and ate in room most of the time. They have indoor and outdoor water parks, mini golf, laser tag, etc. Parks are just for guests of hotel only. They have a zip line too, and guests have reduced proce for that since outsiders can do that too. They have shuttle buses between their water parks. We are going to Mt. Olympus next week. They have indoor and outdoor amusement parks as well as both types of waterparks and snow tubing and skiing, etc

We went to the Wilderness last March and it was great - 3 different indoor water parks to move around between. There is lots to do for younger and older kids, and you don't have to be a good swimmer. We've gone to Mount Olympus in the summer only and had a blast there!!

Thanks for all the info girls. Keep the information coming.
Sad, but cute story...My ds had a assignment at school to shade in the US map of where (what states) he has been too. He could only color in MN, b/c he has only been to MN. To me I thought that was a little sad.

Jodi- My next door neighbor growing up had never been out of the state of WI when she was 12. She was on a family vacation to northern WI with my family and we drove to upper Michigan and took a picture of her with the state welcome sign. I don't think it's that unusual. You could always do a quick roadtrip to Hudson, if you want to get him to a different state.

Well we went to Wis. Dells. We had lots of fun. Stayed at Mt. Olympus resort. Huge place. Husband, kids did ziplining, go karts, rollercoasters, lots of water rides/water slides. They loved the ziplining. We were there from Sun-Sat am. I felt part of it felt like a beach party. I sat by Poseidon's Rage (where the waves get to be 9ft. high and it would ppl back 15 ft). I got to go to the spa.
