TRU Trade In Event!

Hey ladies! Toys R Us is having their baby gear trade in event right now through Sunday! Bring in any used baby gear- stroller, carseat, pack n play, etc (check the website for specifics) and get a 25% off coupon to be used in store on a new item! No limit on how many coupons you can get but you can only use one per new item. I brought in my wonderful, much loved, but expired convertible carseat and bought a high back booster. Of course, for me, they didn't have the seat in pink and I found it elsewhere so I returned the red one that I had just purchased and gave my coupon to a couple in line ahead of me who was buying a swing and some other stuff. They saved more using it than I did so I felt awesome about it. But anyway, if you are in need of new gear, go to TRU! ;D

There is a high back booster that we may look into getting.... not to replace anything right now, but for future... the one I like, it looks like it is not sold in stores... can the coupon still be used and can they order it in store?

Saw this online earlier...we are planning on getting a new seat for dd2......convincing hubs to get the one we want will be tough. Knowing dd2 she wont sit in it unless its girly like her sisters lol.

I was keeping my eye out for this to trade in DS convertible car seats for boosters as I thought he was getting close to 40lb weight limit....but at his kindergarten screening found out he is only 36lbs still, so we'll keep these for a bit.

At the last trade in event I picked up a 5 point harness that went to 50 lbs plus the normal seatbelt strap you can use till 100 lbs.

Cissy- what brand? Do you remember how much it was? Would you recommend it? He definitely still fits weight/height-wise, but having a 5 point harness for another 10lbs would be good.

I think it is Evenflo, it works for me with easy adjustability so I can switch the kids in and out of it when need it. I also have 2 Graco Nataulius carseats that go to 65 lbs for 5 point harness.

The britax boosters are best rated for 2013... they have a five point harness / high back booster convertible. Expensive. Though

The coupon is only good in store BUT they do have an online sale going to price match what you would get using the coupon (does that make sense?) The only problem with THAT is that you have to pay for shipping. I was wondering, though, if you get a seat and return it for store credit so that you can get the seat you do want a little later (after the sale is done.)

I have one of those, as well- yes, it is an Evenflo.

The Britax aren't eligible for the 25% off coupon BUT you can use it for 15% off.
