Day cares: eco-friendly and/or in north suburbs?

Hi! I am expecting my first child in May 2013 and am so excited! I'm looking for day care recommendations.

Ideally, we would like an eco-friendly day care that, for example, accepts cloth diapers and has healthy foods. But if this is not possible, we at least want a good day care.

We live in Arden Hills, near Roseville. I work in Minneapolis and my husband works in Plymouth. Ideally, we would go to someplace not too far from Arden Hills/Roseville.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you so much!

Jardin Magico might be worth checking out. They are opening a location on this side of town and I believe they provide organic food and use cloth diapers. I have heard that people love them!

Congrats may2013mom!! I don't really have any recommendations in that area. But, when we were looking for daycare we used the site mnchildcare.org. You can enter a bunch of search criteria and it will provide some options. We also called and they mailed us out a more extensive list. Good luck!

Welcome to MOMS, may2013mom! Would you prefer a daycare center or a smaller home operated daycare setting?

I don't have much experience with daycares. However, I trust the daycare that my granddaughter goes to a couple of days each week. It's called Nutz for Kids and it is in New Brighton. .....I forgot to mention Nutz For Kids will do cloth diapering. Matter of fact, she sews cloth diapers as a second business.
