This week at Target I bought some assorted Easter items and a Wreck-it-Ralph Blue Ray. My total ended up coming to only $20.00. When I got home and looked at my receipt they didn't charge me for the movie. What would you ladies do?

I would call or go back with the items and receipt and point out the error.

That is what I did and paid for the movie. Both my Dad and Hubby said it was the Target mistake and I should just stay quiet. I did what I felt was correct. My dad says, "they have insurance for that kind of stuff." I hope my DD takes after me in this stuff!

And that's exactly the point! Even if I wouldn't do the right thing before being a mom (I did that kind of thing then too), now it's even more important b/c I want my son to see that kind of example.

I have had similar things happen and gone back in. Once it was an $80 electric toothbrush I was buying for one of my clients. They got so carried away with getting the security sensor off they forgot to scan it and I bought quite a bit of things and didn't realize it was not paid for until I got it back to the group home. When I went back in to pay for it the woman at Customer Service was shocked.
Good job for being a good example for DD.

Being a good role model is important, even more so in today's society. Good for you!

I am not sure about what I would do. If I was still in the store I would point it out. If not it may depend on the time I had, if the kids were with, how much it was, etc. I would like to think if I were alone and had no time constraits I would do the same, but probably wouldn't. Of course I might not go back if the error was in their favor wither (and haven't) but it it were that much I wuld like to think I would

Yea I probably would not. It was their fault they didn't catch it.
I was going through my receipts and I found I was charged 2 times for a $15 pack of paper towels I bought and I only bought 1, would they refund me if I went back a few months later because I finally noticed it?

I would go back and pay for it, too--if I get too much change I always point that out and give the extra money back to the cashier. Part of me does it just because there's so much cheating and lying in this world, it just feels like good "juju" to take the high road and get to be the "good guy" when you can. Know what I mean?

I know what you mean, I am usually shopping with my 2 kids and I do not pay that much attention to what happens. Now if it is $50 over what I think it should be then I will look at it but otherwise I am assuming that they are doing there job right and I do not track it all. Could be my fault on that but it is just how it happens for me.

They gave me too much change back one time. Like considerably a lot more and I'm a karma gal and didn't want it kicking me in the a$$. So I went back.

I'm with Cissy on this one. If I didn't get charged for something I would be going back and making things right. I don't have time to correct their mistakes. Besides I have been charged to much for things several times and didn't realize it until later and just let it go so I guess I figure it all evens out.

I would go back, I'd feel guilty if I didn't. Once I left Cub and they forgot to charge me for something and I called a paid them over the phone with my card numbers.

Ugh - I guess I'm not as moral as most. If they don't ring it up and I don't notice right away I don't go back - usually due to time. If I notice while they are ringing me up, I do say something. Or if I accidentally leave something in the cart I go back and pay for it.
