As the Halloween season is upon us, I would like to recapture that scared mindless feeling that I had as a teenager, when I would sneak and watch scary movies. (My mom did not allow me to do it.)
I would hate to think that they don't make anything scary anymore; rather, I think that I just have not had the time to watch anything.
What suggestions do you have for scary movies, past or present, that would make me scared to go to sleep by myself?!?

I love scary movies, nice to see there is someone out there like me! The original Children of the Corn freaks me out! I love it though. The Shining The Ring Texas Chainsaw Massacre Poltergeist- first one The Exorcist Amityville Horror (1st one) but the remake wasn't bad either, with Ryan Reynolds. The Birds Psycho On the SyFy Channel this month they are showing lots of scary movies too. I saw a few I've not seen before, but of course the constant commercials are annoying.

Jeepers Creepers Skeleton Key The Strangers (I probably jumped 100 times while watching this movie)
I didn't really think the Paranormal Activity movies were scary but thats probably because I don't really believe in all that stuff lol
Insidious had some creepy parts too

Nightmare on Elm St & Child's Play movies scare me to tears!! (Literally!) Halloween is also super scary!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Scream movies!!!! A lot of people don't find them too 'scary' but I absolutely LOVE them!!!! I will say though... Scream 4.... FAIL. Very disappointed with Wes Craven on that one.

I can't handle scary movies. I saw Paranormal Activity with a friend and I still get scared thinking about it. I will not see part 2 or 3!!! especially since those 2 have kids in them - I can't handle thinking that there is something in those movies that a parent can't protect their child from.
