Well, here I am groveling again. Any day now the marriage equality bill is expected to come for a vote, and Minnesota legislators will decide whether or not to make the marriage laws in our state fair. It's likely to come down to whether enough Republican legislators are willing to vote to treat all Minnesota families fairly, even if it may cost them politically to do so. My legislators will vote for marriage equality, but I know many of you live in districts where they may not. So, I'm asking, begging really, that you take the time to contact those who represent you to ask them to vote for marriage equality. We just need a few Republicans to vote for it and we can have marriage equality in our state. My wife and I will celebrate 16 years of marriage next month. I don't know that I can express what it would mean to be treated with some basic fairness at the state level. That being said I am, as always, glad to answer questions. If you don't know who represents you at the state level you can put your address in here: www.gis.leg.mn/OpenLayers/districts/and it will tell you. You can use email to contact Senators and Representatives - it's really easy. Thanks for considering helping my family and community out. G-d willing soon there will come a day where I'm not groveling for help on this anymore. Sharon

I am 100% behind you....unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) -- my legislators are both Democrat, though I sent them both an email a month or so ago anyway

You got it! I live in a very Republican-leaning area (sigh, DH & I are definitely in the minority here, political-viewpoint-wise) and I will do this tonight or tomorrow!!

Thank you so much Renee. You can really make a difference!
It's a little nerve wracking knowing it could come for a vote any day now, likely within the next week.
