So, we got invited to one of DH's cousin's weddings (he has a lot of cousins). However, there are no children invited, odd I know. Well, I lined up a baby sitter and sent in the RSVP card with a yes. Well, Friday night I got a message saying that they can't make it. They have a very rare opportunity, so they had to cancel.
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a decent babysitter for Sunday, may 26th from about 3:30pm tho about 8pm? We live in Chaska, and don't know where else to go.

I live in your area and I'm brainstorming ideas -- kind of thinking/typing aloud. We'll be out of town that weekend. We are "in between" baby sitters right now, so my big bummer is that I don't have anyone to recommend (we've tried a couple of local teenagers and unfortunately they haven't worked out, and with you having I see a toddler, I wouldn't trust them with your kids). BUT here's my idea. The local school district or community center has a babysitting clinic/ Red Cross program that they run, so perhaps you could contact them and see if any recent graduates of the program left their info for babysitting opportunities. Then you could do a "trial run" with that kid in the next couple of weeks and see how they do before the wedding. carver.macaronikid.com/calendar/event/c105000/I hope this works out! We are going to try out a new sitter in a couple of weeks, if she is a keeper I'll ask her if I can pass her info on to you for future reference. It is SO hard to find a good, reliable baby sitter! Seriously such a challenge. Oh and one more idea is -- if you go to church or a place of worship, you could see if there are any kids who volunteer in the nursery or in Sunday School who might be willing to babysit. GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK!!!

I can check with Bunsette. She's an awesome babysitter and could drive herself to Chaska. She'll be up in an hour or two.

Where is the wedding? If Bunsette isn't available, I'd be willing to have your kids at my house in St Louis Park. back up plan anyway

The wedding is in prior lake, maybe 20 mins or so from our house. The littlest can't have dairy, and the big one is bossy and hyper.

Bunsette isn't sure of her plans at this time. If you can't come up with another option, I would be willing to come take care of your kids. I'll pencil it in. If you come up with a different option, that is fine. If not, I (or Bunsette) will pick up the slack.
If you need references, I've taken care of Lil's kids. I've helped Cissy with her daycare kids. I've had a handful of MoMs moms at my house with their kids. I think I'm pretty trustworthy!

I would be very thankful if you or bunsette would watch the girls. My oldest is a handful or two, the little one is easy, for a toddler. We will try to be out by 8pm, that is when the girls go to bed. Wedding starts at 4pm in prior lake.
