What are you doing for Mothers' Day? Do you do the same thing every year or does it vary?

I am writing my thesis for grad school all weekend. Hoping to take a break on Sunday to go get ice cream and maybe church (depends on how much I get done tonight and tomorrow).
We sent cards to our moms and grandmas and will give them the gifts (DS is making a craft and I do an 8x10 photo collage of DS for each grandma to replace in a frame) when we see them next.
It varies from year to year. We've had all the grandmas here before for brunch, sometimes I go home, sometimes we see DH's mom.

Thanks for the reminder to get my mom's card in the mail this morning! We've invited all the kids to dinner on Sunday. That was my only wish--a visit with all the kids at one thime. There will be 4 kids as honorary daughter is included in that group and her new husband is at basic training.

I take some time to myself and some time with my boys. My mom passed away when I was 19. I can't stand my MIL due to more recent issues so I leave that up to DH. Afterall she is not my mother. This year I'm taking a girls night on Saturday so I'm spending Saturday morning with the boys then heading up to Hinkley for the night. I'll get back home around noon on Sunday to spend the rest of the day with my boys.
I figure DH can see his mother while I'm having my girl time.

My sister and I are taking my Mom out tomorrow. We'll go shopping and out for lunch. Sunday DS#2 is taking me out for brunch/coffee. We usually see my Mom on the Saturday before MD. DH's mom passed away so he makes dinner for me.

DH surprised me with a ring last night. He said he took DD a few weeks ago and she picked it up and handed it to him, so that's the one he bought. I love it!!
On Sunday we are heading to the zoo in Colorado Springs. We have a new membership from his parents for our anniversary. I love going there as you can feed the giraffes!
My mother is in drug rehab so we won't be celebrating with her. All contact is cut for a while. And, my MIL is at a wedding in California, so we will celebrate with her once she is back!

We're going to drive to my hometown (2 1/2 hour drive) to see my parents, have brunch and just spend some time together on Sunday. My in-laws are out of town this weekend for a wedding so we'll celebrate with my MIL on Monday.
We change it up every year, depending on if my mom or MIL are visiting our sibs elsewhere or what the schedule is. I try to see my mom close to Mother's Day if I can't see her on the day. We usually have one nicer meal, whether it's brunch or a special dinner, and have a low-key day if possible. Some years my parents will drive down and we'll all go out to a restaurant or something too.

Every year we drive to visit both grandmas and try to fit in the boys naps in between! I hate it! I just want a day home with my family (or even by myself). I hate the driving!

Pretty much the same as usual. Sit at home and do nothing or rather clean house. My husband has worked the last umpteen bazillion Mother's days. He doesn't celebrate holidays because they are "meaningless." If he thinks to do something the flowers and card usually come from the gas station I work at.
I sent my mom roses and usually do every year. We share the middle name Rose, so it is pretty special.

It varies year to year. Most of the time we are at the cabin with my mom and grandma. DH usually takes me out for dinner on the Monday after MD since we get home later on that Sunday. We don't see MIL but send cards and call her. She's so sweet she wants us to spend the time with my grandma who is 86.

We ended up meeting up with my MIL and FIL last night and treating them to dinner.
Today DH made breakfast now he and DS are going to church so I can focus on my thesis, hopefully we'll go get ice cream later.
