I am getting frustrated!!!!
We started potty training with DD2, mostly because she wanted to start. We started giving rewards for going in the potty, but now, she won't keep her diaper on! All she wants is a treat for going in the potty. What is worse is that she doesn't want to use the little potty we got for her room, she wants to use the big potty. She also keeps taking her diaper off at night and waking up in a puddle of urine because she doesn't understand the signals yet. We took the side off her crib and her mattress is plastic, but it is still not fun to wake up to a huge mess.
I am at a loss here. I don't want to tape her diapers on, mostly because I think she will still get out of them. I haven't tried underwear yet. I have tried talking to her, but I am not sure she understands, plus she is stubborn about things like this. Please help!!
DD1 never wanted to remove diapers, she was happy being lazy and using them.

I kind of went through the same thing but had to wait it out.. it was a phase. Id try underwear during the day and maybe see if she'll just wear pull ups and call them underwear to naps and overnights. maybe lessen the treat offer during the day and tell her if she keeps her diaper on when she's supposed to she gets more. one m&m vs. 3 m&ms or something like that.

DSD was doing this too so we put her in underwear (you can do normal ones or the thicker training kind) and man did that help. It helped her feel like a "big girl". She still wears diapers during naps and at night, but having the underwear during the day has helped her realize to go potty on the toilet.
