DS is 3 1/2 and still working on potty training. I noticed a few times he starts to go and stops mid-stream and is done. Then a few minutes later goes again.
The other day he tried to go and started to pee. He immediately stopped, crossed his legs and grabbed it saying 'owie'. I helped him, calmed him down and he eventually went. He's done that a few times now and even daycare has noticed a set back in training the last couple weeks.
Time to take him in? Or behavior? Hmm...

I would call the ped office and see if they would recommend you coming in. I do this a lot and it has save me worry, money, and time.

I'd have him checked for UTI. Better safe than sorry. If that is ruled out, then you can concentrate on behavior.
