Have you ever been downhill skiing or snowboarding?

Downhill skiing, yep! I'm not particularly good at it, but I do enjoy it. We'd go once or twice a year at local ski hills growing up, and DH and I went to Park City Utah when we were dating--wow was THAT a whole 'nother level of skiing when you're in the mountains!! Last Christmas my parents' gift to all of us was a few days up at Giant's Ridge in Biwabik. That was super fun. My kids had ski lessons and now they're beginning to like it as well, so we'll probably try to go at least once or twice this year. DH grew up downhill skiing so he's really good at it.

Both, I prefer skiing, but if I'm with DH I snowboard as he doesn't ski. If your skiing with a boarder it bites. You have to sit and wait at the top and bottom of every hill for them to strap in.

I've done both but don't do either currently. DH wants to put DD on skis next year though, so I'm sure he will try to get me to start again.

I can downhill ski though it has been years. We had a ski hill in town growing up and you learned as part of gym class in 6th grade (had the option for X-country instead)and it was super cheap in middle and high schools as an after school activity. My BF in college moved to Colorado so I would ski when visiting him. DH doesn't ski so I haven't in years.
I never tried snowboarding. I don't like my hips turned (I don't like wakeboarding, but love waterskiing).

I used to downhill ski a lot in junior high and high school, and for a few years after. It has probably been at least 10 years since I've skied.

Once. Ran into a net and had a panic attack later on in the day. Never again....I'll stay in the lobby next time.

I went to a "learn to" snowboard day at Bristol Mountain in NY when I was 19. I fell down the mountain and the leg that was attached to the board went up over my head and I dislocated my knee. After 6 months of PT, I don't think I'll ever do it again! I would like to try cross country skiing again someday though!

My dad and I used to go skiing together when I was younger, but I haven't since high school. I also tried snowboarding once... never again. DH loves to snowboard though and insists on teaching me, just not my thing. I would love to try skiing again this year if I have time!

I'll have to see if I can find some used skis somewhere... and boots, sounds like fun though!

I spent most of my life downhill skiing! I stopped after college when I moved away from any ski areas.

I've downhill skied twice- once in 5th grade and once in 6th. I've probably cross-country skied about the same amount. Never snow-boarded, it holds no interest for me.
