I love toffee, tried to make some yesterday and they were horrible, I had to throw the pan away!! (That was mostly due to me not having a candy thermometer, which I am going to go out and buy pronto.) So anyway -- do you have a great recipe? I prefer one that does NOT use saltine crackers if you've got one!! TIA!

I JUST made the saltine cracker version - its in the fridge hardening right now!
I haven't tried it before so we'll see how it turns out. I don't have any recipes that don't use the saltines, sorry I couldn't be more help.
