Anyone had great luck shopping for (eye) glasses lately? I was hoping to get mine at Costco, but apparently I have a narrow face. They only had 3-4 pairs that fit me (I went to two different Costco locations), and I didn't like any of them. (Sigh.) So now I need to try someplace else, and I'm dreading it! I usually wear contacts so it's not that big a deal, but I know that I'll keep these glasses for many years--my last pair lasted me 8 years before they broke, I loved them! So I want to find the "perfect" pair. TIA!

All three of us get ours at Associated Eye optical shop. That's where we go for our eye doctors and their opticians really know glasses and are helpful with fitting and helping us find what we are looking for. They also know kids and help us find sturdy but snazzy frames for our fashion minded boy.

Have you tried any online retailers? I know its hard to say what you'll like without seeing it on your face, but at least they would have a wide variety of widths that you would need.

Thanks, Sharon! You know, Amy, my DH was talking to his coworkers and someone did recommend an online store. I guess they send you like your top 3-4 choices and then you keep one and send the rest back. I may have to try that, but I feel like I'd rather try on like 10-15 pairs first!! I'm picky when it comes to glasses!

I'm super picky as well. But over the years I've gotten to know what shape of frame I like so as long as I can find it in a color or pattern I like, I feel like it would be easier then. Not that I've tried online, but I've looked and they can be a lot cheaper and have a LOT more choice to pick from.

I'm cheap. I try to use Visionworks or JcPenny when they have BOGO sales (like now).

I used to work at the Eye Care Center in Fridley, so I always recommend them They are a bit pricy, but they have an amazing selection. And they always make sure you're happy with your purchase. www.eyecarecenters.net/

I usually just go to walmart. Cheap and they have a pretty good selection. I also have a small face which limits my choices. I've even tried some of the kids frames.
