Sharon-
What's a Mikvah?
Also - I am curious about why your siblings have Wikipedia pages?

A mikvah is a ritual bath, used for certain purification rituals in Judaism. One generally enters one naked, so the bathing suit part is particularly rare (although in this group I thought I was likely the only one who'd been in a Mikvah at all). I had a suit on b/c I wasn't the one being purified - Ian was. According to Jewish law one gets one's religion from the uterus one grows in, so since Tina isn't Jewish, Ian wasn't legally Jewish at birth. We did an infant conversion for him, which included being dipped in the mikvah in front of a Beit Din - a Jewish court which is made up of 3 clergy. Ian had to be naked, but I got to wear my bathing suit.
Two of my sibs are/were writers that are not super famous, but enough to have a Wikipedia page. Carol Rosenberg and Joel Rosenberg, if you are curious. Carol is a journalist, most well known as being the youngest Middle East correspondent ever for the Miami Herald and more recently for her coverage of Guantanamo.
My brother Joel, who died a few years ago, was a science fiction/fantasy writer, who unfortunately made more of a name for himself by his legal troubles at the end of his life.
I am not/wasn't close with either of them. But they are my sibs!

Thanks for the information.
I hadn't realized that religion came from the uterus one grows in according to Jewish law. That explains the stress that many people experience to find a Jewish spouse (or at least the pressure from their parents!).
Interesting that 2 of your siblings were/are writers.

Ooo you got me Samantha. I'll think of a replacement.
Yes, I've been whipped too. I have a scar from the bite though. I had a male and a female and the male decide he wanted me to be his mate. It didn't go well for me.

Yeah.. I had a male who chased me down when I had my period.. I dont know if it was coincidence of not but scarey. i was actually bit by a little female that i rescued. She had a broken arm and was covered in burns.. so I can't really blame her from trying to keep me away.

No, the male was really old, I was his 5th home. Once I helped the little girl heal from her wounds and the metabolic bone disease she had, I found her a new home. The male was obsessed with her and it became difficult to keep him away from her.
