Yawn! I got a call at 12:30 from Bunsette. The cat had a mouse and was playing with it. SO GROSS! Of course, this was the ONE night DH went to sleep like a normal person. I went over to try to help. By the time I got there, the mouse was at least dead. Have I mentioned I can't stand mice? Freak me out! I steeled myself to be mature and in charge when I got there. Couldn't do it. Thought I was going to barf. Bunsette did the deed with my grossed out, laughing, gagging support.
She is home sleeping here this morning. She's tired of living in someone else's house!

Hopefully the cat had some fun. I like mice. I think they are cute. As long as I know they are there. The little buggers move so quick they startle the crap out of me. I had one in my office last fall. We caught him and killed him. Good thing I work where I do and had the means to do that, humanely. Hopefully you can both look back at it and laugh.

Blech! Mice freak me out. The way the scurry around and hide. Blech. I know the cat was doing what he was supposed to do. She thought there might be a mouse in the house cuz the other cat kept staring at the crack behind the refrigerator.
The cats both got kicked out of DD's bedroom because she was afraid they would catch another one and bring it to her in bed. Poor smokey just didn't understand why she wasn't super proud of his catch!

Yea, cat's are so proud and just don't understand.
I used to have 2 pet rats. One of them would ride around on my shoulder in a harness. She also responded to commands such as "no" and "Come". She was a good rat. Lived 4 years. The other was psycho and only lived 9 months. After she died we found out she was a hermaphrodite. Explained the psycho part of her/him. Girl on the outside but had testies on the inside. I worked at a vet at the time so they opened her up to find out if there was a reason she died so young. That's all they found.
Which in a weird way, reminds me I have a cat in my freezer we need to bury.

At least I only have ashes in my cupboard, not a whole dog in my freezer.

Cats can fit in a pretty small box. Not sure what I'm going to do when one of my dogs goes. Hmmmm?

Hi Ladies,
UGH so tired. Just wanted to say hello before I go crash and get to bed. I slept horribly last night and today was a pretty rough day at work, my brain was in a FOG. So I'm going to bed nice and early tonight!
I don't know what we'll do when our cat dies. When I was growing up, we buried our dog out in the woods at one of her favorite spots to go meandering. How much does it cost to get your pet cremated?

Renee - Too much. That's why our cat is in the freezer. I think it was around $100 and that is for mass cremation. It's way over that if you want the ashes back.
