I can't believe it's that time already... and maybe I should've done it already but I haven't. Does anyone know how this works? (Sharon?) Who do I call to get the eval set up and does anyone know how late into the year they do them? Do they do them through the summer? I know they are geared toward specific ages so I probably shouldn't have been worried about getting him in to do it sooner, but ds had been going through a phase where he was SUPER stubborn and I didn't want him going in there and refuse to do anything or another thing... he thinks it's hilarious to say his numbers out of order or sing his ABCs the wrong way or write the letters he does know in a really weird way... or say the wrong color just because he is teasing. I think he may be over a lot of that now though lol So maybe he's ready.. Thanks

You will have to call your school district and let them know you need the kindergarten screening for your child, they will get you to the person you need to contact. From my experience they do not do screenings in the summer, you need to get it done sooner then later so your child is set up with the school district.

Yes, call the district. And they are checking skills compared to kids the same exact age by month as your child, so you don't need to wait longer - they will compare them to their same age peers whether they are 3 or 6 or something in between.
