Trying to get back into the swing of life.
Last week was a rough return from vacation with lots of work and then my parents were here Thurs & Sat nights and we were at my niece's birthday party all day Saturday.
Tonight we need some groceries and DS is dying to play with me in his living room fort (and we told him the fort has to come down tonight).

coming back from vacation is always hard.... getting back into a routine, especially for the kids is something I hate!
At least the rest of the week is going to be in or near the 70's!! That's a little uplifting!

Well it was just me on vacation, so DS was in his normal routine. The hard part was that work had so many issues that DS was missing me and I just couldn't be home when I wanted to be. This week should be more normal.
I am looking forward to this upcoming weekend. I am on call for work, but we have no other plans so I plan to take naps.

Well, we got the thunderstorms here for you Bunsy! We decided to go to the camper as well-- and the PVC sewer line is now hooked up (good thing the black tank got full before the weekend was over) instead of up to Alexandria for DH cousin's memorial service (she died on NYE in CO, but family having service now (graveside/burial?) and his other siblings all went. They went up earlier and he was left out of the loop so he decided he wanted to finish sewer line at camper instead (kids wanted to camp too). It would have been nice for kids to see their cousins-- doesn't happen much and one of DH's sister came up from FL (theother in is MN). His decision I guess. His sister is coming for longer time in June, too.

You are right that is his decision, but it seems odd from the outside that he didn't go to the memorial service to see family.
Trying to tick things off the to-do list and feel more in control of my schedule. There is too much to do and not enough time.

I can't tell if my kids are battling colds or allergies this time around... runny noses, but nothing else. Ahhh the joys of spring! The sunshine sure helps though... when we get to see it!

We just got a little rumbling here in SLP earlier. My sister an hour west of the metro has BIG boomers going thru her area right now. I'm crossing my fingers that they will come here too!

we've got some little booms... just enough to make Lucy dog hide!
I keep forgetting too that both my kids are cutting teeth... so the cold like symptoms may be from that. P is not even 4 1/2 and he's getting his 6 year molars! Ella is getting her 2 year molars.

Sarah- I am really struggling with allergies yesterday and today. DS seemed to be too so I gave him claritin. I wouldn't be surprised if it was allergies for your kids.

More booms coming from the west! Marty is quivering. I was headed out grocery shopping but I hate getting wet. Hopefully, it will end soon.

Yep, I am skipping groceries tonight if it isn't done raining. I got soaked going to and from my car for work.

Preston has his last sports class tonight through the community center... it's at island lake elementary... but with the way they are both feeling and the fact that it will probably still be storming, I think were going to skip it.

Debbie, I've been meaning to ask you...
are you still lap swimming at the CC? That is pretty much the only choice I have other than walking on the track because of my back injuries and I was just wondering how it works... do you just go (as per the schedule) and just claim an open lane? I didn't know if there was a sign in or anything for the lap lanes. I want to start doing it twice a week now that I have my stitches out!
