It is lovely. I sat outside for 45 minutes or so. I finally came in because I was too chilly! I love that.
Now it's time to shower and get on with the day. Grocery store, here I come!

Sounds like a fun time! Gotta love grocery shoppin! I'm very bored here today at work. Boss is gone, I think it's a good time to update the resume.

Morning Ladies! I just booked DH's surprise trip to Florida to see his best friend. That's his 40th b-day gift from me and his parents. A weekend away! Now to decide if I tell him ahead of time or the day before he leaves. I already contacted his boss to make sure it was ok for him to take the 2 days off of work.

I have to let him know at least a day in advance so he can say good bye to the kids. Other than that I'm not sure yet. I don't know if I can keep the secret that long.

Well yeah, give him a day to say bye and pack and what not, but maybe give him little hints until the day he leaves? Like a sea shell randomly, or on his pillow before he goes to bed. Some sand in his shoes. A picture of a beach.

The back story to this is: After we got back from visiting them in March DH was a bit bummed. I told him then that maybe for his 40th birthday this year, if we could afford it I would send him back down there for a long weekend. Well, when I started looking at airfare's it was so high, I told him he wasn't going to be able to go. Well, today Delta dropped the price for a couple of weekends in August down to 248 round trip. The out-laws are chipping in $100.00 so now I can afford to send him. His BFF is thrilled, he was uber excited when I texted him this morning to make sure those dates would work.
DH is getting lucky on this one. And I'm even sending him down there right before our anniversary. He gets backs on the 24th and our anniversary is on the 26th.

Then you should DEFINITELY surprise him. Since he thinks there was no chance of him going.

Hi ladies- just drained today. Lots and lots of socializing, noise and people. There is construction at work, I was in non-stop meetings and then things for DS: kindergarten celebration, summer program open house, tennis....whew!

DS is going to the Y Summer Power Program during the day. They do swimming 2x/week and 2 field trips each week. So he will be very busy.
In the evenings he is finishing up t-ball and then will just have tennis and once tennis is done soccer.
I think one night a week of things will be more than enough with his daytime activities.
I hope work will slow down for me. I just feel really stretched and tired.
What is Ian doing this summer?

Crud. I did that thing where I asked a question and then fell asleep. I hate when I do that. Sorry.
Ian's going to the same Jewish day camp he has gone to for a few years now. Then he has a few weeks of down time before school starts up. Tina's off during that time so they'll do stuff together (some of it her work stuff) and she'll probably find him a swim class or something else community ed in there.
