My DD has had this "owie" for four to 5 days. I have seen no improvement. We are debating between a spider bite and ring worm. Anybody have experiences with either?

that really looks like ring worm. You can put lotramin on it, that is what I did since it is fungal.

Yep, that's ringworm. Put the jock itch creme on it and bandage it if she can't leave it alone. We had to do that for my son, clean it, reapply the creme, bandage it, then at night we had put the creme on it and just let it air out.

Looks like you got the perfect answers. I was going to suggest the same thing. She will have a faint mark for about a year after it's gone (skin colored mark). Our daughter had ringworn as an infant on her shoulder and the doc can still find it if he looks REALLY close (she's 3 now).

With the help of a pharmacist, we chose to treat DD w/ Lamasil. The next day the lesion was quarter sized instead of dime sized and it was angry red!
We took DD to the minute clinc and the nurse, confirmed the ring worm and said the Lamisil was probably too strong and she recommend Monostat!! I must say despite, my doubts, that is working well. The lesion is now pink instead of red and seems to be shrinking.
Thanks ladies for all your advice. You saved us from a very expensive dr. visit!
