Hi Ladies!!

I'm sorry I haven't been on in ages. Working full-time and juggling the daily family tasks, getting kids to their activities plus doing a little volunteer work has me pretty much maxed out. BUT I miss connecting with the great Moms on this site so I'll try to hop on more often.

So what's new, how is everyone?

My family is doing well. The schedule is just crazy - I know you all know how it is. I leave for work at 8, get home at 6, three nights a week there are kids activities, we have homework, piano practice, go-go-go. Tonight the kids got to bed (finally!) around 8:45, so I sit down at 9, get some "to dos" done and here it is almost 10 pm!! BLAH.

In the area where things are most important, life's good. DH & DDs are healthy, strong, DH & I are employed and paying the bills! So ... no complaints.

Anyone have fun weekend plans?

I'm going to be cooking and baking but also want to get outside. I think the arboretum is calling my name ... Love that place!

Hi Renee!

Good to "see" you again. I have been crazy busy/stressed at work lately. Big project deadline is the 24th. DS is doing well, we started piano lessons a couple of months ago and he is liking that and he has swimming and art class each week too. His reading is really taking off which is fun to watch.

This weekend is my birthday weekend. I plan to lay super low tonight with DS. Tomorrow morning we are taking family pictures at the nature center and then birthday fun with 2 girlfriends. Sunday is my birthday and not sure how we are celebrating yet.

Nice to see you ladies. I took a little break in starting chats. Felt too lonely.
Things are good here. Twins are both doing well in college - as far as I can tell. DH is working on withdrawing from some volunteer activities that grew exponentially from what was expected.
Being an "old" woman, I had my first colonoscopy this week. That was an experience.

Lunch with friends is scheduled for tomorrow. The rest of the weekend is unscheduled and hopefully, low key.

I just got word that my friend is sick and birthday plans canceled for tomorrow - so bummed!

Birthday plans salvaged --- we rescheduled to 11/1 and my friends are okay with DS tagging along and tomorrow two of us will still do lunch and check out the new outlet mall in Eagan.

Deb, I'm so glad that you'll still be able to celebrate - we all need that good quality friend time. Happy Birthday to you!

Bunsy, sorry to hear about the good ol' colonoscopy. Blech! But good for you for not procrastinating - those tests aren't fun but they're important to do!

Kids were stalling and finally are off to bed. DH & I are both pretty worn out after the week ... The couch is feeling awfully cozy!!

Fun day here--busy but good! Went for a run with my BFF this morning and we had some great catching up time. Made muffins, started laundry, went grocery shipping, now I'm making an uber batch of clam chowder so I can bring some to her along with the muffins.

Hoping when the soup is done to head to the arboretum with my kids! They have some homework to finish first but then I want some fresh air and sunshine.

So far a good day. We did family pics outside which was beautiful, then lunch and some shopping with a friend. Now I am home and have the house to myself. Relaxing and reading is on the agenda until they boys get home.
