I have been throwing around the idea of going back to school for awhile now and I know I really want to do it but I am so stressed about paying for it! I am all set for my placement test this Thursday and then I would be starting school in January. I plan on taking about 5-6 years to complete school and only take 1-2 classes a semester (looking at just 1 to start with) I know it is easier to get aide if you go full time but I was wondering if anyone had any info on getting aide for just going very part time. I will be meeting with the counselor on Thursday after my test but just thought I would check things out from others so I don't go in totally blind.

I go to ARCC and my first semester I only had 2 classes and I was able to get aid. Good luck. You won't ever regret going back. I wish I did it sooner.

I am looking at just getting my child development degree so it opens some new doors to me to work in the school system once we are done having kids and they are in school. I have been doing in home daycare for 8 years now so when it comes time to look for a job I will have a good amount of experience I just know a good education to back it up will help.

I was pregnant with DS when I made up my mind about going back to school, so it's just never a good time. I maintain at least 6 credits (2 or 3) classes to qualify for financial aid.
