Sounds like baby Maddy was a fighter for her life.
Just checking to see if there's an update. May her family and your family be comforted during this most difficult time.
I've been thinking of babies lately. I have a very good friend who's dd2 & dsil baby boy, died at four months gestation. He would have been another grandson and second son for dd2 family. I've been sad to know these lo's did not grow and live..

Thinking of you and yours, just wondering if Maddy got her angel wings or if she is still fighting. Prayers & peace to all.

Thanks for bumping this KKJ. Maddy is a fighter. She was supposed to have surgery yesterday to put a feeding tube in her tummy but it has been post-poned until after the first of the year. Maddy's dad received a call yesterday that insurance is no longer going to pay for her to stay where she is at. They also told him that they will not pay for the surgery as it is "optional".....this is where I start to hate the politics of Insurance! Please continue to pray. Thank you ladies. Your prayers are working, Maddy is continuing to fight!

So, according to insurance, it's optional to receive nutrition? Huh, good to know.

Ugh - insurance. That's ridiculous. Glad little Maddy is a fighter and she'll continue to be in my prayers, along with the whole family. Keep fighting, little girl!

Yeah, isn't that wonderful? I mean, I get they don't want to pay for her care anymore. Her outcome will not be good in the end but what more do they want this family to do, they have already pulled all of her life support away and she is continuing to live so, they should not feed her and make her suffer in more pain and starvation? Seriously, WTF is wrong with people? Is it not humans that run the insurance company? Sorry but it's BS.

That is heartless...she should not have to starve to death...I am disgusted with that BS as well Mickey. Praying for baby Maddy, she is such a fighter.

Obviously, there needs to be a standard of ethics that the entire insurance industry should be made to follow, since they won't do what is sensible or right on their own. Too bad they "own" Congress, just like most of the corporations in the U.S.
On the positive side, Maddy is a miracle in our prescence! The power of prayer and the compassion of people have carried her through the impossible all of these months. What a blessing!!!

We will keep praying for Maddy and hopefully that some one compassionate in the insurance company will step up.

Wow. What a fighter. If they have an account set up for donations for her medical care, please let us know. I would love to donate what I can to help that sweet angel. Insurance companies can be so ridiculous. We are fighting that battle too.
I know some hospitals will greatly cut the cost when they hear of insurance companies doing that. When my niece was very sick, and sadly passed in May, they cut her $400,000 bill that insurance wouldn't cover down to around $1,000. Has he asked about that, do you know? I really hope they can do something for your family. Haven't they gone through enough already... Praying for you and your family.
