Any hints for helping kids reset their internal clock? I'm trying lavender oil and warm bath, but have no idea if it will help.

I'm with Super, we just go with the flow. I've always believed that if you just continue with your normal routine, the adjustment period goes by quicker. The more you stress about it, or make a big deal about it, the harder it is to adjust! Good luck Sharon, I hope Ian adjusts quickly!

Well it's not like a calming lavender bath ever hurt anyone. I'm not too worried there is a downside.

Ds was awake early this morning, it was somewhat funny. I ask him to try and stay in bed till 7:00, most mornings he watches the clock or plays quietly and crawls in bed with us at 7 on the dot. This morning I heard him making a quiet whining sound, I looked at the clock and it said 6:30. I forgot to tell him about the time change, hoping to get a little more sleep. I went to his room and asked what was wrong, he said his tummy was empty so I told him we could get up... this was 7:30 his time and his belly knew it was late getting fed.
So we gave him a snack at 11:00 when we would usually be having lunch. Then a snack later in the day to help hold him over till dinner. Now I'm going to put him in the bath at 7:00 like normal and in bed at the normal time as if there never was a time change. ds is is six years old so we aren't professionals yet, but I'm guessing there's not much else to do.
I think you are doing a fine job Sharon. Can't go wrong really. good luck :-)

Very true Sharon, a lavender bath is a wonderful way to wind down!

it always takes a week or two in our house. We just make small adjustments, earlier to bed tonight and hope he wakes up a little later. He usually catches on eventually.

I think I'm having a harder time adjusting than P is!! He went to bed at his regularly scheuled time just like nothing changed!

I am so lucky! My DDs have never had a hard time adjusting to the time change in the Fall. It's the spring change that sends them for a loop but it's still not too bad.

My girls are taking to the time fairly well....they wake up earlier but thats ok because I need to wake earlier too! I normally just go with the flow...they eventually get use to it!
