My skin is itchy often so I am coming to you wonderful ladies to find out if you know of a lotion that works. I am telling myself if I find a good lotion I like that I will start to use it religiously. Believe me I have tried many many different brands. I could open my own lotion store I swear I have so many that I have tried or have.
TIA
I saw a new kind that comes out like a ribbon out of the bottle.

We use Gold Bond, I can't remember the exact name for both DD and DS who have very dry and sensitive skin. When it gets really bad we use Aquaphor, I think it is part of the Eucerin line, pretty spendy but you don't need much and it is very good.

I don't know about ya'll, but in my house. Lotion is a joke! Especially, in the winter! The only thing that will last us more than an hour is vasoline. Ideally, we buy the creamy kind of vasoline (it looks like lotion), and it keeps me from being ashy, and I don't have to reapply after washing my hands!

Good to know Jazzy thanks for the info. My son has spots on his legs that look just ashy looking from scratching like crazy.

I use vasoline on my lips, elbows and knees in the winter, sometimes on my feet too!.. and also under my nose when I get sick..
for a more regular use, I use Gold bond. but I have found that I have to use it less now that I also use the new gold bond body wash! It's amazing.

For my lips I use Burt's Bees. I do find the skin is softer w/ a body wash. I usually use a bar soap when washing up. Does bar soap dry the skin?

Hmmm. Vic never heard of suave oatmeal. I have not tried Keri brand. I will have to go look at the lotion bottles & read the labels next time I go to the store. Thanks.

I appreciate this thread because I have HORRIBLY dry skin in the winter and am always up for trying something new. I currently use Vanicream and in the winter I'll slather my hands with it before bed and then wear gloves at night to try to help my poor dry hands heal. Target has Vanicream at the pharmacy but you have to ask for it because they keep it behind the counter.
I may need to seek out this Gold Bond body wash. What does it smell like?

Renee- Vanicream also makes a bar soap that I use. Since I started using that I haven't broken out at all.
