Do you think he should be going to jail? Do you think he should have been found innocent? Thoughts?
By the way, I'm amazed no one has posted about this yet!!!

I'm guessing that's Michael Jackson's doctor?

I don't know anything about the trial at all or the circumstance. That being said, I was surprised by the verdict.

I was surprised by the verdict too... not that he probably didn't have a part in it, but I think there were probably a lot of things that contributed to MJ's death. What would the doc have to gain by murdering him? He had to know he'd go to prison for life... Initially I thought that MJ probably ordered that the drugs be given to him in certain doses.. lethal or not... and this Dr. probably shouldve just told im to shove it.
The whole thing makes my head hurt.

IMO, he was a highly paid pusher. MJ was addicted to the substance for a non-medical/feel good/convenient use, and old Conrad kept supplying him with it. What makes it more disgusting is that this is an educated man who knows the risks and intended use for said substances. And yet he kept on doing it! You know that it is not safe, yet you keep on doing it. In my mind, this is similar to driving drunk. You don't intend to hurt anyone, but you know that there is a good possibility that you can and will. I thought that he should have been charged with murder!
You took this man away from his children, his family, his fans, and this world! It didn't have to be like this!
And now that I am on the topic of MJ, I want to know what the heck else this man was doing and was on. I don't know if any one else went to see This is It, but he supposedly wasn't doing so well at this time. But, when you watch him dance, he was probably doing 10 moves for every 1 move that his backup dancers were doing. And these backup dancers worked long and hard to get to where they were! The dances were huffing and puffing, and needed to regain composure after doing their number, but MJ on the other hand could do his thing, and then continue whatever was next without looking like he just ran a marathon!

I don't know much about it the case but from what I hear (and this is all heresay, so take it with a grain of salt) he wasn't MJ's only doctor. If MJ wanted meds he could pay to get them. This doctor just happened to be the doctor he went to. Of course it was irresponsible on the doctor's part, but I don't think he is fully to blame.

I think the world just needed someone to blame for MJs death! Was the doc wrong in giving him those meds, yes but I'm sure he was very well paid to do this under MJs demands. IMO~MJs addictions killed him not this doc.

Well....I'll chirp in now that some other people have commented...
IMO, Conrad Murray deserves what he got. Although Michael could have gone elsewhere to get drugs, settle his addiction, etc, he DIDN'T. Why? Because he know that Murray would give it to him. Now, I ask, is that a proper way for a medical practitioner of any sort to treat their patient KNOWING the affects of the drugs they are using on their patient? Murray did so much that day to make himself so unfavorable that I'm not surprised this happened. I agree with Jazzy on the drunk driving thing, very similar!
As far as this is it goes, Michael was always very hard on his dancers, they had to be perfect. He knows all of his moves and dances, he taught it to them so it doesn't surprise me that during the rehearsals he wasn't giving it 100%.

I agree with Jazzy's comments. Dr. Murray's greed came before his ethical obligation to Michael Jackson.
