Hi ladies.. So I'm back to messing with my hair again (what can I say, I get bored!). I'm going to go blonde, but actually follow through this time. Since my hair is so dark it has to be dyed in sessions and last time I only did the first session, changed my mind, and went back to brown. I had my first session Monday and so far I love it I have to wait 6 weeks until I can go back so we'll see if I still love it then! Anyway, I have naturally dark brown hair so my eyebrows are pretty dark too. Once I'm more blonde I don't want to look like a weirdo with light hair and dark eyebrows. Any naturally dark haired ladies that have suggestions? I've looked around online and some people say they dye their eyebrows.. but I feel like that would look so weird! Someone else said they use a q-tip and peroxide to lighten them, but I don't want them to be too light.. Any help/suggestions are appreciated! Basically I don't want to look like this would not be a good look for me! Attachments:

I have heard that some stylists can lighten then when they dye your hair. You don't have to match your eyebrows to your hair color, but it will look more natural if you lighten them. I don't know personally know anyone that has done it, but have seen it on What Not to Wear.

Q-tip and hydrogen peroxide is the best way to go! You can start with a very light amount and see how much it changes and then go from there!

I've actually had my eyebrows DARKENED lol...because they're so light. But my hairstylist just dyed them with the color she was putting in my hair. It doesn't stay on as long as it does on your hair, and it will grow out. I'd say especially if you have to do it in two sessions that she's using a lower developer which would work perfect for your brows

I would like to have my stylist do it BUT I don't want to have to go in every month to have them lightened.. so I would prefer something I can do on my own. Plus I read that you don't want your eyebrows to exactly match your hair shade or it will look weird lol
I've heard that peroxide works but I'm concerned it will turn my eyebrows orange.. What color eyebrows do you have Irish?

Hmmm... maybe I will try to peroxide.. at least eyebrows grow quickly so if I mess it up it won't be too long until they are back to normal.

I've always wished I could pull off a lighter shade than brown/black. I feel like I even look ill with highlights, but this lightening in stages is interesting to me! Are you doing an all over color in stages, or highlighting a little at a time??

It's basically like highlights all over your head, 2-3 times, depending on how light you want to go. I did get solid brown on the bottom so my hair (when I'm done) will look more like this (except my hair isn't nearly that long lol, it just reaches my shoulders right now) Attachments:

When I was younger, my hair was naturally blonde. I have super dark, super thick caterpillar eyebrows, they are seriously like wooly bear caterpillars. My hair has darkened to a light brown color. I wouldn't worry about it unless your hair ends up looking bleached blonde.

So I bought some creme facial bleach last night and I used it to lighten my brows. If you want the hair completely bleached you are supposed to leave it on for 8 minutes. I left it on for 2 minutes and then washed it off and they were a little lighter but not much. So I re-applied for another 3 minutes and viola! Perfection. They were a teensy bit red but you can't even tell unless you look really closely and they look much better than before when they were super dark. It's nice because I have at least 2-3 more uses in the container and if I'm gonna have to do this once-twice a month it will only cost me like $6 and about 10 minutes every 2 months. Not bad! Thanks for all the input ladies Attachments:
