Special K Bars 1 c. sugar 1 c. light corn syrup 1 c. peanut butter 6 c. Special K cereal or corn flakes... 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. butterscotch chips Mix sugar and corn syrup together in pot and put over heat. Stir and heat until sugar is dissolved (don't bring to a boil. It will make the bars hard).
Pull off heat and mix in peanut butter. If used a big pot, mix cereal into syrup mixture until evenly coated. Or mix together in a large bowl.
Spread into a 9x13 pan and pat down so it is even.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Pour over bars and cool. Enjoy!

Add 1 stick of margarine to the sugar and corn syrup and the bars will NOT get hard. I use 4 c rice krispies and 2 c corn flakes. It's the only "krispy bars" my family eats.
