It's my dad's birthday right after Thanksgiving...anyone have ideas about what to get a 60+ year old man who buys himself whatever he wants?
For Christmas he and my mom are getting a calendar I made on shutterfly of DS. For Father's Day I made a photo collage of him and DS in a frame. So I have exhausted all the "cute pictures of grandchild" gift ideas.
He lives 3 hrs away so I can't do "event" gifts like a daddy/daughter date to the theater which is something I could do if he lived here.

Since my dad lives in Fla we struggle with this too... sometimes I send him homemade stuff but sometimes I send him things like his favorite sauce, country sweet, (nystyledeli.com) and his favorite hotdogs.. sounds stupid but you can't get white hotdogs in Florida or here for that matter! Once I did one of those edible arrangements with some chocolate stuff because he has a sweet tooth. and once I made him a basket to send in the mail.. themed redneck (long story) with random fun stuff like an apron, new thing for his grill etc. Once I sent him playing card and new poker chips and something else to go along with that... he loves games. You can also get playing cards from walgreens with ds picture on it. That would be fun! One thing I'd like to get him maybe for his next bday is a digital frame.. that way he can continue to add pics of ds..

I agree with this: "One thing I'd like to get him maybe for his next bday is a digital frame..."
My sister gave me a digital frame with a camera card that holds 4 GB memory, and it has family pictures from 1905 (family tree type relatives that I've not met) Great Grandparents, Grandparents, parents, and us through our childhood years (1 sister and 3 brothers) and through my sister's children's childhood to adulthood, including my niece's wedding. My sister gave me her digital frame and said she'd get one, on sale near Christmas, to replace hers she gave me. She said when she had it at her home, she'd turn it on in the morning and leave it on all day when she was home, until bedtime. For me, it feels like I'm not by myself in my apt. when I have the relatives scrolling thru the digital frame!!! It is a PRICELESS GIFT TO ME!!!!
I would guess pictures can be added to the camera memory card, and then just put back into the digital frame, if it is like the one my sister gave me. Mine is: Model Name: GiiNii 8DN DPF Model No. GN-818 The frame can be used as a stand up frame, either as a portrait or landscape. It can also be used as a picture hung up on the wall, either as a portrait or landscape. It's a WONDERFUL GIFT to me!!!
