So my dd is almost 3 (January 3rd) and she's AWESOME when it comes to peeing. She hasn't worn a diaper or a pull up in 3 weeks. No accidents. EXCEPT she poops her pants EVERY day. She has pooped on the potty up until about 2 weeks ago. I don't know whats changed. She won't tell us she has to poop.. Sometimes she doesn't even want us to clean her up after she poops in her pants. And she KNOWS better but she just won't go to the potty. Could it be that she doesn't know its coming until its too late now? Or.. is she just having an adjustment issue? What do I do about it? I don't want to make it a huge deal because I fear it'll make her less likely to WANT to use the potty. But it is getting really frustrating! HELP!

Has the consistency of the poop changed--- softer, harder, etc? My DD (now 10) had issues with poop long after she was out of diapers, but that had to do with constipation and waiting too long because it hurt and that just made it worse. One time she went 8 days with pooping--- she was 4 or 5 at the time!! If it is too soft she may not have full control and it "sneaks" out with gas maybe? is there an incentive you could find and use for motivation? I know know how you feel about waiting longer to change/clean her but try that to see if that would make a difference and try to get her involved in the clean up too, with the responsibility on her she my want to stop having to clean it if she doesn't get extra attention?
Hope these ideas are helpful.
