DH and I will be going to Florida next week (without DS)... We are staying in a nice hotel near Orlando, and have a few things planned out... Sea World, Cocoa Beach, etc. Does anyone have any good recommendations for nice restaurants or places we should see? We aren't planning on doing Disney or any of the theme parks besides Sea World. TIA!

Cocoa beach is amazing... go to Tables Beach.. when we went there weren't too many people there and it was super clean! But change before you get there the facilities aren't the best. Downtown Disney is free.. Its just outside of orlando.. it's lots of shops, restaurants, couple things for the kids to see. It has the largest disney store in the world, a restaurant with lifelike sized dinosaurs (and a sandbox area for the kids to play in but its not really sand its like fine ground up shells or something)... tethered hot air balloon rides if it's not windy and a ghiradelli icecream shoppe!! Lots of live music, irish pubs with clogging... the works lol. It's free to park too! Their website will tell ya anything you need to know. Sorry bout getting you the books.. I forgot about them!! Margaritaville, kermits keylime shoppe, dry tortugas, southermost point, the old creepy cemetery and look up events in the area too for Key West! Bahia Honda State Park was the best... best beach hands down, and try and see a sunset while you are in Key west! They are breathtaking!

There's lots of things to do on I-Drive (International Drive). LOVE LOVE LOVE Cocoa beach, miss it lots! Downtown Disney is pretty fun, DH & I spent a lot of time there when we were bored. Bahama Breeze is one of my fave places to eat in Florida. Besides the heat part of me misses living down there, DH and I never really got to go exploring because one of us was always working! Have a great time!
