This is my 1st year having a daycare provider who I think I should get a Christmas gift for. Anyone have any good ideas? What about cost, how much do you spend? I LOVE her by the way.
Thanks for the ideas!

You could do a cute frame made by your LO with a picture of them in it maybe?? Or a giftcard for coffee plus a mug.

I'm thinking of something that's "get away from it all" in theme. Gift cards to a restaurant or movie theater, Caribou/Starbucks cards, a nice lotion, high-end chocolates ... something that she'd appreciate after a long day surrounded by little ones.

Lotions, or something to pamper themselves. I would do something baked. I would spend $15-20 dollars on them.

I have recieved a gift card to Walmart which I spent back on the kids. A couple different lotions and a pair of gloves, I have really dry hands from washing them all day.

I bought our daycare provider a $50 gift certificate for a hair salon last year (about the cost of a haircut there). She had commented many times on how much she liked my hair and asked where I got it cut. She indicated she was looking for a new stylist/salon. I also got her some Aveda lotion for her hands as daycare provider she washes her hands so much.
I plan to do the same this year.

I have been a provider for 8 years now and I have had different gifts every year and I appreciate them all I get cute hand made gifts up to even a good amount of cash. If you are thinking gift cards the best are something I can use on myself usually if I get target or along those lines I usually end up spending it on my son. I know I have tons of lotions myself so not much I can do when I get gifts like that. Maybe if a nice gift of pampering stuff....bottle of wine, gift card, chocolates, etc. would be a great idea

I have been working with kids for awhile now and have gotten a lot of different things. My favorite has been gift cards to places just for me: Archivers, Patina, visa gift card and restaurants( it becomes a date night for us). I have gotten Target, but it does go for household things or more things for my child care. I don't like nick knacks or coffee cups, because I run out of room. I just like getting a card and a hug from the kids. I think the getting the thanks for all the hard work I do!!
For my kids teachers I do coffee gift cards or Barnes and noble. Now that I have a middle schooler he has to many to buy gift cards so we do a card for his 6 teachers and it's one I stamp and he writes them a note. This year he wants to make chocolate chip cookies for them, so I said sure. He wants to make them himself too. He has 4 core teachers, so at the end of the year I will give them a $10 gift card.

I used to get my old provider a gift card to Barnes and Noble or Michaels (she bought a lot of craft stuff for the kids). One year I bought her a gift certificate for a massage and she loved it.
