I just wanted to see if normal to spot in between periods and that it is nothing to worry about. I ask this since I started spotting yesterday today and not time yet. I have never really spotted so just wondering if there could be reasons that it has happened to other women.

I used to spot when I was on Seasonale. Now that I am back on a regular birth control, I haven't been. Some light spotting is normal, but if it gets heavy or smells, I think you should contact your doctor. Try researching it on the internet, too. Google is my best friend.

Since you're newly married I'm assuming you're sexual activity has increased as well. That can cause spotting.

I was going to suggest what merrr said. If it starts to worry you call the dr!

Yup- I spot every now and then. Sometimes after sex or lots of exercise or stress. It's normally a small amount.

I have never had the above problem. But I do agree with the other ladies, if you are spotting and it has you worried def go to the Dr. Also since you are newly married if your sexual activity has increased that can cause spotting as well. Try to use lube (if you arent already) that will help prevent any tearing in your vaginal walls that can cause you to spot. Hope it gets better soon. XoXo.

I usually do but my periods haven't been regular since I had DS. With my mirena I rarely get a period but if I do its just light spotting, and since I'm not regular I never know when its going to happen.

If you are on oral birth control it is VERY common to have break through bleeding. It can be caused by the strength of the pills you are taking (too low or too high) it can also be that you are not consistent with the time of day that you are taking the pills-your body can be very sensitive to that. So set a time of day and do your best to always take them at that time.

I spot maybe once or twice a year, and only because I'm really stressed out. How long have you been spotting? Is it enough to wear a pad/panty liner? Are you having a lot more sex than before? Are you stressed?
