I have two makeup brushes and I've never cleaned them. Well, I did try to run one through warm water once but it was still wet the next day when I needed to use it again and I haven't done it since. I don't really want to spend money on something that seems so simple to do but I figure there must be some ideal way to clean a makeup brush, right?
Please share with my your best tips and tricks ;D

I just clean it with warm water and antibacterial soap, ring out as much water as I can and let dry the rest of the day and overnight. That's how the woman at the make-up counter told me to clean them, anyway.

I thought I read someplace to use a gentle shampoo to clean makeup brushes and then let them air dry. I need to do that myself!

I do what fungirls does! I ring them out with a paper towel. I try cleaning them every week after I do my make up so they can dry during the day and over night. If I don't wash them my face is bound to break out bad

I heard or read somewhere that you could run them thru the dishwasher

No offense but I am cringing that people say they have never washed a makeup brush. Imagine all the stuff on there! It actually surprises me. When I did where makeup (DID LOL) I used a solution meant for make utensils. It is like the liquid barbers soak the combs in etc., Paper towel dry for a few hours then squeeze it some more.
